Elevator Pitch

La Salsa 2/24

La Salsa is a great place to go eat, this Mexican fast food restaurant were the food is served on point, I devoured the chicken quesadilla, which was stuffed with delicious rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and cheese.  Yummy!  I couldn't finish the entire meal because it was simply too much for my stomach.  Also, my mom had the taco salad and from what I could tell of her empty plate, she enjoyed her meal as well.
If you haven't eaten at there yet, you are missing out on one of the best kept secrets in Tucson. This restaurant is at the top of my list.  Delicious, fresh, fairly-priced, tons of choices, magnificent salsa bar, and friendly and quick service.

Guero Canelo 2/17

My second choice to go eat was Guero Canelo, you can never go wrong here. The food is excellent, consistent, the service is great. Most known for its sonoran hog dogs! The sonoran hot dogs have been so important that has been featured on food network and numerous publications.

El Guero Canelo - Tucson, AZ, United States. Sonoran dog     The Sonoran dog is a hot dog, wrapped in bacon. Then for the bun instead of cut completely horizontally lengthwise, a slit is cut in the top and the hot dog put in. Then it is topped with mustard, mayo, salsa, and onions,. Really fascinating and tasty. They also have tacos, burritos, and an impressive salsa/sauce bar, but I just wanted the dog. They have a great condiment bar with  radishes, pickled onions, pico de gallo salsas, roasted chilies, roasted green onions, and some other stuff.

Casa Molina 2/10

Casa Molina was my first choice to visit because my uncle works there and and he might be able to give me some feedback on the restaurant. Casa Molina is a special place, this restaurant has been family owed and operated since 1947. Oh, it's supposed to be about the food and service though? Well OK then.

I first order some Chips which were hot and fresh and the salsa tasty.I also had an appetizer of mini chimis which are made of beef and chicken and I have to say that I had a hard time on ordering them because I thought they were going to taste like they came from Costco or something but these were really good and fresh. We also ordered some queso with green chiles and it came to the table on a cast iron dish straight from the oven, hot and bubbly with the bottom crusting just so perfectly. I could have made a meal from that alone.

Decisions 2/3

Hello, right now I'm trying to make a plan on how I'm going to do my blog and how I'm going to do my research on my topic.Going to different restaurants and trying different kinds of foods might sound easy. But when it comes to Mexican food, that's not the case.

Delicious, authentic and innovative Mexican food is a point of pride in this town, so it is no surprise that some of the country's best Mexican food restaurants can be found in Tucson. The hardest part is choosing a place to eat first.

       ABOUT

Hello reader my name is David and my project is about different types of Mexican food. In this blog i will be doing reviews on Mexican food, I'm going to be trying different foods in different restaurants around Tucson. I will be taking pictures of the food i eat and then post them with commentary at the bottom sharing my experience.

The reason I'm doing this is to inform people that not all Mexican food is made in the same type of way, what I'm saying that not every Mexican restaurant makes or sells the same type of food. I will be giving people a little feedback on how the food is made as well as it origins.
